Regulation of orthopaedic hip devices

Diarise Tuesday 16 February 2016 to hear Urjit Chatterjee (Orthopaedic Surgeon, Leicester) speak at 18h00 at the next DEMLA meeting at Foot Anstey, Southernhay Gardens, Exeter.

Mr. Chatterji studied medicine at the Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School (Imperial College) and was granted a prestigious Medical Research Council award and graduated in physiology in 1990. He obtained his MBBS with distinction in surgery in 1993.

Mr. Chatterji has a particular interest in hip and complex knee surgery and is actively involved in research. His special interest is minimally invasive hip and knee surgery, hip resurfacing and computer navigated knee replacement surgery. He lectures on revision (redo) knee replacement courses attended by international delegates and has published papers on hip and knee replacement and on returning to sport and activity following hip and knee replacement. Mr. Chatterji is also regularly required to give opinions and treat patients from other orthopaedic consultants from hospitals outside the local Leicester region.
